For some reason telnet 127.0.0.1 2194 says that the connection is refused but i got OpenVPN AS working now via that port. Anyone has an idea about it ? So problem is solved (added a missing route in firewall) but does still not explain why telnet on localhost does refuse connection but doesn't matter anymore now. curl: (7) Failed to connect to localhost port 9200: Connection refused The following command was unsuccessful. OpenSSH is an open-source version of the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol that can be used to login remotely to a server and to control remote Linux-based systems. I can not connect to servers hosted in WSL via localhost or 127.0.0.1, but I am via the rotating IP. For example if my hostname is ub0, but the hostname in /etc/hosts is localhost, it may occur . curl: (7) Failed to connect to localhost port 9200: Connection refused ubuntu 15.10 32 bits The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered: connect to host ub0 port 22: Connection refused Because the hostname in /etc/hosts is localhost not ub0. Note you won't be able to connect to localhost on any other devices - you have to be on the local machine itself. Thank you. Remember to backup "/etc/hosts" just in case !!! To access from another device you'll need to connect to its IP address on the network / use client software if you are connecting to a server.
